On Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, International Talk took place via Zoom and in person as an activity of Global Lounge. Forty-one people, including students and faculty members, joined the event.

Ms. Joan Quinn, an undergraduate student, was invited as a speaker. She introduced her country "The United Kingdom" in English! Mr. HAWASLY Ahmed, an undergraduate student acted as the MC for the event.

The presentation was an excellent overview of The United Kingdom, including its geography, history, accent in the UK, food, and her hometown, Scotland. The great thing about the explanation is the beautiful pictures. She kept the audience interested by showing many pictures and making the presentation convincing and meaningful. After hearing her talk, many of the participants would have been interested in The United Kingdom and Scotland and wanted to visit.

Many other attractive things cannot be fully described here (see the pictures below). The audience was attracted by her slide materials, completely losing track of time.

The Q&A session was limited due to time constraints, but it was interesting to learn about the cultural differences between The United Kingdom and Japan.
