On July 3, 2021, an international student (Liang Yuxiao) and Prof. Cohen participated in the "ONSEN/Gastronomy walking in Aizu-Wakamatsu city".

This event was planned by the ONSEN/Gastronomy walking in Aizu-Wakamatsu city Committee, and introduced by Aizu area community center.

On the day of the event, they walked from Tsurugajo Castle, via Nanukamachi (Old downtown), Oyakuen (Botanibal Garden) to Higashiyama hot-springs. It was about 10km.

On the way, they visited historical spots and enjoyed eating local foods in early summer.

This experience was a great opportunity to learn about the food culture and history of Aizu through interaction with the local people.
