  • 2022/10: Tinh Nguyen wins another award, the “Best Presentation Award”, at the postgraduate forum of the ACM RACS conference.

  • 2022/09: Tinh Nguyen (B3) wins the Excellent Oral Presentation award at the 5th World Symposium on Communication Engineering (WSCE 2022) held in Nagoya University

  • 2019/12: Duc H. Mai, master's student of CCL, wins the Student Awards (Encouragement Prize) by IEEE Sendai section. The award ceremony is held at Tohoku University in Sendai. Congratulations!

  • 2019/09: Hoang is awarded the IEEE VTS Tokyo Chapter's Young Researcher Encouragement Award. Congratulations!!!

  • 2019/04: Minh Vu receives the Student Paper Award (first prize) from IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Japan at IEEE VTC-Spring 2019, KL, Malaysia.

  • 2018/09: Anh-Tuan Bui Hoang receives the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Japan’s Young Researcher Encouragement Award at the IEEE VTC-Fall 2018 in Chicago.

  • 2018/01: Thanh Pham won the IEEE COMSOC Sendai Chapter Student Excellent Research Award in 2017. He is also selected to become a JSPS Fellow under the fellowship program for young scientists in Japan. The fellowship is for 2 years, starting from Apr. 2018 (acceptance ratio of about 10%).

  • 2016/10: Phuc Trinh won the prestigious Student Travel Grant to attend IEEE GLOBECOM 2016 in Washinton DC, USA.

  • 2016/09: Vuong Mai won the IEEE VTS Tokyo Chapter 2016 Young Researcher's Encouragement Award at VCT-Fall 2016 in Montreal, Canada.

  • 2016/08: Phuc Trinh won the Second Prize of the IEEE R10 (Asia-Pacific) Distinguished Student Paper Award at the City University of Hong Kong during the IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Communications and Computing (ICSPCC).

  • 2016/07: Thanh Pham won the Student Travel grant award by from the IEEE/IET CSNDSP'16 at the Czech Technical Univ. in Prague.

  • 2015/12: Vuong Mai won the prestigious Student Travel grant from the IEEE GLOBECOM 2015.

  • 2015/12: CCL members, Vuong Mai and Phuc Trrinh, won 2 (in total of 3) excellent research awards by IEEE ComSoc Sendai in 2015.


 

  • 2015/09: Phuc Trinh won the "IEEE VTS Japan 2015 Young Researcher's Encouragement Award" at VTC2015-Fall in Boston, USA.

 

  • 2015/05: Thanh Pham won the "IEEE VTS Japan 2015 Young Researcher's Encouragement Award" at VTC2015-Spring in Glagow, Scotland.

 

  • 2015/01: Duc Nguyen won the "ICCE Young Scientist Paper Award" by the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society East Joint Japan Chapter and the 3rd place prize of "Best Student Papers", at IEEE Conference on Consumer Electronics, Las Vegas.

  • 2014/03: CCL members won two important awards at the graduation ceremony in AY2014

    • Phuc Trinh won the University of Aizu's President award for the best master student.

    • Sally Yamaguchi won the award from the Aizu Area Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Science for master student

  • Phuc Trinh, master student, won the 2014 IEEE Sendai Section Student Award by IEEE Sendai Section for the paper entitled “OAF Serial Relay-Assisted FSO Systems using EDFA combined with Optical Hard-Limiter” presented at 2014 Tohoku-Section Joint Convention of Institutes of Electrical and Information Engineers, Japan

  • Vuong Mai, won the University of Aizu President's Award of Excellence for master's study in AY2013.

  • Two CCL students, Vuong Mai, master student, and Thanh Pham, undergraduate student, 2013 IEEE Sendai Section Student Award by IEEE Sendai Section for papers presented at 2013 Tohoku-Section Joint Convention of Institutes of Electrical and Information Engineers, Japan.

    • Vuong Mai's paper: "Performance of Cooperative-ARQ Relaying FSO Systems".

    • Thanh Pham's paper: "Outage Analysis of Serial Relaying BPSK/FSO Systems using Avalanche Photodiode over Lognormal Turbulence Channels".

  • Bach Vu won the award from Aizu Area Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Science for the undergraduate student at the University of Aizu in AY2012.

  • CCL paper, entitled "Video Streaming over HTTP with Dynamic Resource Prediction", first authored by Prof. Cong-Thang Truong, won the ICCE 2012 Best Paper Award

  • Tat Thang, undergradute student, won the 2012 Sendai Section Student Award from IEEE Sendai Section.

  • CCL paper, entitled "Performance Analysis of SAE/OCDM System using Heterodyne Detection Receiver", first authored by Prof. Anh Pham, won the ICOCN 2005 Paper Award
