Ookuma Diamond Device Co., Ltd. and the University of Aizu Sign a Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement

On Friday, September 4, 2026, Ookuma Diamond Device Co., Ltd. and the University of Aizu, a public university corporation, signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the aim of mutually and closely collaborating to contribute to research and development and human resource development in the fields of IoT, information technology, and advanced semiconductor technologies, as well as promoting local industries, including the Hamadori region.  

The details of the collaboration are as follows:  
(1) Promotion of research and development through the integration of actual industrial fields & education
(2) Promotion of human resource development through the integration of actual industrial fields & education
(3) Promotion of the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework and collaboration with local governments
(4) Other matters deemed necessary for mutual collaboration and cooperation

At the signing ceremony held on the day, the following attended: from Ookuma Diamond Device Co., Ltd., CEO Hoshikawa and Factory Manager Wada and from our university, Chairperson of the Board of Executives and
the President Tsukahara, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Executives 
and the Vice President Iwase, and Regent and the Director General of the Administrative office Tsurumi.  

Taking this partnership agreement as an opportunity, we aim to further deepen collaboration and cooperation with Ookuma Diamond Device Co., Ltd., leveraging the knowledge and technology gained through the connection between real-world industry and education. We will also create opportunities for exchanges including students and promote research and development, human resource development, and social implementation in the semiconductor field.
