On July 15, the University of Aizu hosted "Let's Talk with the President!", an interactive discussion session between students and the university president, held at "Kiyare," the on-campus community space. Our university regularly provides these opportunities for direct dialogue to review and enhance our learning environment from the student's perspective.
This session brought together a diverse group of students with unique backgrounds typical of UoA, including the Student Association President, the Captain of the Kung Fu Club, the ICT Global Program student who studied abroad in Germany, the student currently developing their own original app, and the non-traditional student currently working at a securities firm.
During the session, participants engaged in lively discussions on a wide range of topics. Students raised thought-provoking questions regarding career development for engineers in the rise of generative AI, how international students can better understand Japanese corporate craftsmanship ("Monozukuri") culture, and ways to leverage personal professional experience to support fellow students.
Our university will continue to engage in active dialogue with our students, working together to co-create value and deliver a student-centered educational experience.
