On Tuesday, July 15, the regular Global Lounge event "International Talk" was held.
This time, the guest speaker was Mr. JALLOW Cherno Suwaidou, an undergraduate student, who gave a presentation in fluent English about his home country, The Gambia. The event was smoothly moderated by another undergraduate student, Mr. Munasinghe Tenshi.
In his presentation, Mr. Jallow gave a broad introduction to The Gambia's geography, cuisine, and culture. Particularly striking was the visual impact of his slides, which included unique dance videos and engaging visuals. His humorous and lively talk drew in the audience, and many participants expressed interest in The Gambia, saying they would love to visit someday. (Please see the photos below for more details.)
During the Q&A session, a lively discussion developed around The Gambia's relationship with its neighboring country, Senegal. The event brought The Gambia--despite being geographically distant from Japan--closer to the hearts of the participants.
