The University of Aizu and Iwaki City Concluded the Basic Agreement on Industrial Promotion

On Friday, May 26, 2023, the University of Aizu and Iwaki City signed the basic agreement on industrial promotion in order to strengthen mutual cooperation and promote local industries utilizing ICT.

The details of the collaboration are as follows.
(1) Matters related to the development of industrial human resources through cooperation with Iwaki Computer College, etc.
(2) Improvement of industrial technology through collaboration with the Iwaki Industry-Academia-Government Network Association, a public interest incorporated association, etc.
(3) Securing industrial human resources and promoting business start-ups
(4) Matters related to urban development through industry
(5) Other matters deemed necessary for mutual coordination and cooperation

The basic agreement signing ceremony was attended by Hiroyuki Uchida, Mayor, and Nozomu Satake, Industrial Promotion Department Director from Iwaki City, and Toshiaki Miyazaki, President, Jiro Iwase, Regent, and Toshihiko Abe, Regent and Director General from the University of Aizu.

In addition, Shuji Taguchi, Principal of Iwaki Computer College, a related organization, and Tadashi Tezuka, Director General of the Iwaki Industry-Academia-Government Network, a public interest incorporated association were also in attendance.
