In the AY2023, the University of Aizu submitted its "International Engineer Development Program" (internationally recognized program name: Computer Science and Engineering) for a new review by the Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (JABEE), ensuring the quality of engineering education. It was accredited on March 1, 2024, with the accreditation period lasting six years, starting from April 1, 2023.

JABEE, in collaboration with the United States, South Korea, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, has participated in establishing the Seoul Accord, taking on a key role in accrediting and ensuring the quality of computing education internationally. The accord aims to facilitate the international standardization and mutual recognition of educational quality.
