"IoT Hands-on," was held on Monday, March 8, 2021 and Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
N.S.C Co. Ltd.() engineers served as instructors for this event, where they connected various sensors to the Raspberry Pi to create a simple system.

Various sensors used and Raspberry Pi

There were nine participants, all of whom had no experience in developing IoT sensors, but over the two days they learned about IoT technology through hands-on experience with "temperature and humidity sensors", "human detection sensors", etc., and were able to fabricate devices.

〇Fabricated Devices
・Ultrasonic sensor: Measures and notifies the distance to the object, lemon classification, and collision avoidance.
・Use of motion sensors: Notification of visitors, measurement of the number of people passing by, and measurement of congestion.
・Use of tilt sensor: Food control (to prevent spilling of juice).
・Accelerometer: attached to a bicycle to measure the inclination angle of a slope.

【Comments from the instructor's company】
・If we combine sensors with sensors, we can solve problems and provide services.
・The ones with good accuracy are expensive, but you can make good ones with a combination of less expensive ones, so I hope you will continue to be interested in learning more.

【Comments by participating students】
・I got a chance to use the Raspberry Pi.
・I enjoyed making data out of invisible things.
・It was a good experience for me because I was able to use the computer language I learned in school and the spread board I did in the exercise.
