On December 6 (Tue) - 7 (Wed) 2016, the "Leadership Development Lecture to Protect Prefectural Residents from Cyber Crimes" was held at the Laboratory for leading?edge ICT in Aizu (LICTiA) by the Fukushima Prefectural Police.
While e-commerce is spreading, cybercrimes on online shopping has been reported increasingly. Considering the circumstances of residents in Fukushima prefecture falling victim to crimes and troubles in cyberspace, this lecture was given under the university-industry-government collaboration to aim for preventing prefectural residents from the crime.
The lecture featured up-to-date circumstances, approaches, preventive security countermeasures, risk management, etc. of Cyber Crimes. Based on the "Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Cyber Security" signed with the prefectural police in November 2015, this lecture was held with full support by the University of Aizu, and the four UoA faculty members; Senior Associate Professor Akihito NAKAMURA (*1), Associate Professor Yasuhiro ABE (*2), Adjunct Professor Fumiaki YAMASAKI, and Visiting Professor Takafumi HAYASHI gave lectures.
