AY2026 Autumn Degree Conferment Ceremony held

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Degree Conferment Ceremony of Autumn AY2026 was held.
56 individuals, including 28 from the Computer Science and Engineering Master's Program, 10 from the Doctoral Program, and 18 from the Undergraduate School of Computer Science and Engineering received degrees.

At the conferment ceremony, President TSUKAHARA Tsuneo used his address to encourage the newly-minted graduates, stating

"The cutting-edge skills you acquired here will long serve you as the basis for solving social and economic challenges with uncertain solutions, such as the declining birthrate and aging population, rural economic decline, increasingly extreme natural disasters, and growing international uncertainty. I urge all of you to train your negative capability and power of imagination through daily practice, develop your ability to discern the true nature of things, and continue to strive to move your lives and society towards prosperity."

For student commendation, Mr. TRAN PHAM Lam Khanh, who graduated completed the bachelor's program, and Mr. ISIWU Chukwuemeka Paul, who graduated completed the master's program, were awarded the President's Award and a supplementary prize.

Mr. ONUOHA Chibuike Martins, representing those who completed the respective programs expressed his gratitude and future plans in his address, stating

"The University of Aizu has given us knowledge, opportunities, and connections that have profoundly shaped our lives. It is now our responsibility to use what we have gained here to contribute to our future communities and, in our own ways, fulfill the university's mission: "to advance knowledge for humanity."
We came here from different places, walked different paths, and pursued different dreams. Today, we share a single achievement: we made it to this moment.
As we depart from this university and step into our next chapters, I hope we remain curious, remain kind, and never stop learning from the people and places where we find ourselves."
