Field (Specialization) of Software Engineering (SE-DE)
- Taken by fourth-year students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
- 2 sessions per week, 3 credits
- Students' areas of expertise, experience, and skills are varied
- Teams of 5 to 10 students develop a same software
- Corporate instructors provide coaching and review of the software
- Faculty members provide guidance and assistance, mainly in project management.

This software is designed to encourage people who visit Nishi-Aizu to create their own story of their stay in Nishiaizu and to help visitors who see the story on the Internet to become more familiar with Nishiaizu. By doing so, visitors can rediscover the attractiveness of Nishiaizu and how to stay there that promotes tourism.

This software is designed to encourage people who stop by the roadside station in Nishi-Aizu to visit tourist spots in Nishi-Aizu even though they have no specific plans.

- Students will develop software for real-world customers in teams from April to July.
- Propose software to solve problems and develop them while receiving user feedback.
- Two periods of classes each week to hold meetings with customers, and proceed with advice from company instructors
