Higashiyama Bon-odori

The most widely recognized "bon-odori" dance in the Aizu Area, the Higashiyama "bon-odori" is held in Aizu-Wakamatsu from August 13 to 20. Colorful towers are placed in Yugawa River, and the poignant folk song, Aizu Bandai-san (Mt. Bandai), fills the night air as the throng of dancers grows.
