THE World University Rankings - The University of Aizu
The rankings are based on 5 categories or pillars of
*Teaching (the learning environment)
*Research (volume, income and reputation)
*Citations (research influence)
*International outlook (staff, students and research)
*Industry income (knowledge transfer),
consisting of 13 indicators.
In particular, "International Outlook" and "Reserch" score were increased for 3 consective year.
Japanese Universities got high scores for "Reserch" and "Industry Income", but it's said that there is a problem in the "International Outlook" score.
Phil Baty, the chief knowledge officer of THE, commented that japanese universities should raise "International Outlook" score by attracting excellent reserchers and
international students, or by promoting cooperation with reserchers from other countries.
The number of international students and teachers from other countries is increasing year by year.
Particulary, there are more than 100 international students (145% compared to the last year) in UoA.
We're steadily evaluated as an open university to the world.
We will continue to contribute to the region and the world by the strengths of the UoA that Invites professors and international students from various countries, and provides international education program of "Advaned ICT Global Program".
