UoA Ranked 601st-800th in the THE World University Rankings 2024

The University of Aizu was ranked 601st-800th (11th amongst Japanese universities) in the THE World University Rankings 2024(*) released by the British educational journal Times Higher Education on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
The THE World University Rankings 2024 uses indicators that score an institution's performance across five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
We were included in the rankings for a seventh consecutive year, and our ranking amongst Japanese university was 11th, the highest ever since our first inclusion. We believe that such high evaluations by THE are thanks to the support from many people, including local residents, as well as the achievements of our faculty, staff, students and alumni.
We will continue to contribute to the revitalization of Fukushima and make further efforts to develop talents who can become successful on the global stage.
