The University of Aizu was ranked for the THE Asia University Rankings 2021 (※1) published by the British educational journal on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
The university was ranked 152nd in Asia and 15th the Japanese universities that were ranked.
"THE Asian University Rankings 2021" uses the same data as "THE World University Rankings 2021"(※2) with some changes in the weight of indicators.
Since the weight of the index differs from the world ranking, the relative ranking also differs from the world ranking.
The University of Aizu was ranked 131st in 2018 (15th in Japan), 160th in 2019 (20th in Japan), and 190th in 2020 (23rd in Japan).

<Comment by President Miyazaki>
I am delighted to announce that our university has been ranked at the top of THE Asian University Rankings for the fourth year in a row, up from last year.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those involved in this project, as University of Aizu has been highly rated in the university rankings because of the support extended by many of you and the achievements accumulated by faculty members, students and graduates.
We will continue to return the results of our research to the reconstruction and revitalization of Fukushima Prefecture, and make further efforts to produce human resources who will be active in the world.
