AY 2014 Entrance Ceremony

The University of Aizu AY 2014 entrance ceremony took place on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. A total of 306 new students, 247 to the undergraduate school, 51 to the master's program and 8 to the doctoral program were admitted by President Oka, after all their names were called at the ceremony.

In his welcome address, the President stated; "Information technology is now one of the core technologies spreading into every corner of scientific fields and industry including the automotive industry. Our university is solely dedicated to the information technology. What you will learn at this university will let you lead the reconstruction from the earthquake disaster especially in Fukushima." Mr. Tomoaki Aihara and Ms. Eri Suzuki made an oath on behalf of new students admitted to the undergraduate school and the master's program respectively.

Following the ceremony, a commemorative group photo was taken and UoA students handed out flyers to invite new students to their club activities. The campus was filled with a celebratory atmosphere in the spring sun.
