University of Aizu Faculty Member Appointed as Fukushima Prefectural Police Cybercrime Countermeasure Advisor.

On Wednesday , May 13 , 202 6 Akihito Nakamura, Professor (*1), Director of the Research Center for Advanced Information Science and Technology (*2) of the University of Aizu, was appointed as "Fukushima Prefectural Police Cybercrime Countermeasure Advisor" and received letters of appointment on campus.
The "Cybercrime Prevention Advisor" program provides expert guidance and advice to effectively promote comprehensive measures against cybercrime and information security threats.
Professor Nakamura has been serving as an advisor since FY2017.
Since cybercrimes-such as phishing scams, unauthorized access, and ransomware attacks-are occurring right in our midst, the university and the police will continue to collaborate on countermeasures.
