Professor CHEN Wenxi of the Division of Computer and Information Systems donated a three-dimensional kanji model of "" (bear) to the Japan kanji Museum & Library. The model was designed and produced based on the university-owned related patent, "Method for Generating Three-Dimensional Objects and Three-Dimensional Objects" (Patent No. 4675042; inventors: Milenkov et al.).

Through this three-dimensional kanji model, we hope that visitors--especially many children--will experience the appeal of computer art, develop an interest in it, and further enhance their motivation to learn.
