International Talk: “Let’s Learn About Laos!” Held

On Wednesday, October 29, an event titled "International Talk: Let's Learn About Laos!" was held as part of the Global Lounge activities.
The guest speaker, Ms. PHETXOMPHOU Zalita, a graduate student at the University of Aizu, gave a presentation in English introducing her home country, Laos. The session was moderated by Ms. SANO Towako, an undergraduate student.
In her presentation, Zalita-san introduced various aspects of Laos, including its geography, food culture, and traditions. Particularly notable were the slides featuring Laotian cuisine--the vivid images, shown just before lunchtime, drew the audience's attention and inspired interest in experiencing authentic Laotian dishes.
During the Q&A session, participants actively exchanged views on topics such as cultural and national similarities between Laos and Japan. The event provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of and feel closer to Laos.
