The Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE)※ has established a new award for students, SICE Excellent Student Award, in 2021. The Award is given to students who made a significant contribution to the fields related to SICE.
　In the Graduate School of the University of AIZU, Dr. LIU Tao, supervised by Associate Professor LI Peng, won the Award. On March 19, 2023, Vice President Zhao presented the
Certificate of merit to Dr. LIU Tao.

``Efficient Machine Learning Systems by Exploiting Data Sparsity.''
