This is to notify you that a university student was confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 virus.
1. Infected individual:
Male student in his 20s.
2. Actions before infection was confirmed:
Monday, January 17: The individual visited a medical institution tested pseudo positive for coronavirus antigen.
3. Current Status:
No one from the University of Aizu was in close contact with the virus.
4. Response by the university:
We have taken steps including disinfecting the facility accessed.
