Service Development Engineer Experience "Hackathon to Test Your Skills" was held!

The University of Aizu, in collaboration with TIS Inc. (TIS)(※), held the "Hackathon to Test Your Skills" on February 15-16, 2021.
The "Hackathon to Test Your Skills" was held under the theme of "Developing Apps to Solve Local Problems" as a summary of the study sessions (4 sessions in total) held by the University of Aizu and TIS since October 2020.。
Eight students from the University of Aizu, based on the explanation of the current situation in Oto-machi, Aizuwakamatsu City by the Community Development Division of Aizuwakamatsu City, set up issues and development themes.
And With advice from TIS and the Community Development Division, we developed an application for mapping direct sales points using map information and an application (Safety Hiromeru-kun) to warn people of dangerous places such as landslides and damage caused by birds and animals.

・I could feel the sense of accomplishment when I created the app!
・I was able to experience the fun of team development!
In the future, Aizuwakamatsu City Community Development Division, TIS, and participating students are considering continuing to develop the application in order to solve local issues and further improve students' practical skills.
