Seeking "Specific Project Support Staff" (Part-time)

The University of Aizu
The University of Aizu has been aiming to become an advanced model of a higher education institute - a local public university in the ICT field developing leading-edge ICT human resources on a multicultural campus. We were selected by MEXT as a "Top Global University" in September 2014, and within the concept of that project, we are proceeding to foster personnel resources in the ICT field (see https://www.u-aizu.ac.jp/sgu/en/ for details). To support this project, we are seeking a person for a fixed-term position as follows:
DETAILS
1. Position
Specific Project Support Staff (1 person)
- Qualifications (points to be considered for selection)
- Understanding of the purpose of this project and willingness to promote the project with university faculty members and staff
- Flexible thinking, cooperativeness, planning ability, and energy to take on new challenges
- Experience and knowledge of managing meetings and training duties
- Ability to act as a liaison and coordinator with foreign and domestic educational institutes and companies, both in English and Japanese
- Ability to do student support, both in Japanese and English
- Duties
Matters regarding promoting globalization of the University of Aizu
- Carry out public relations (PR) regarding "Top Global University Project"
- Assist managing "Innovation/Start-up Educational Program"
- Assist liaison and coordination work regarding other overseas internship programs and projects
- Do liaison and coordination work between UoA and financial support foundations and companies
- Take on other duties related to the Top Global University Project as required

From September 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 (possibility of reappointment)

- Hours and Days of work
9 a.m. ~ 4 p.m. (Lunch hour: 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m.)
Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end/New Year holidays
- Salary
10,100 yen/day
- Commuting Allowance
Depending on the commuting method and distance, based on university rules (maximum 64,000 yen/month). - Insurance
Employment, occupational accident, health, and welfare pension will be covered.

- Record of work experience (free format (A4 size vertical), work experience and motivation for applying for this position must be written specifically)
- Copy of score sheet of TOEIC, TOEFL, or equivalent English proficiency test.
