On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the University of Aizu, the title of "University of Aizu Venture"(※1) was bestowed on Team Mizuki Corporation (Representative Director, Mr. Taisei Igarashi, who completed the Master's Course in 2018), which started a business utilizing the research results and resources of the University of Aizu, by Chancellor and President of the University of Aizu, Mr. Ryuichi Oka.
This is the 21st company to be certified as a University of Aizu venture.
Mr. Igarashi founded Team Mizuki Inc. in March 2015 while he was a student at the University of Aizu, where he studied management, researched blockchain technology, and improved his skills.
Currently, I am in charge of the research and development of blockchain technology, which is a key element in the development of applications for an IT company in Tokyo.
I want this company to permeate society like water and air, and to be a place where value and knowledge can be transmitted. I think it is important to start a business as a way to showcase the results of research and development. I would like to contribute to the creation of an environment where junior students of the University of Aizu can start their own businesses," said Mr. Igarashi.
