On April 20, 2018, a nameplate was installed by the Rotary Club of Kitakata, and a commemorative photo was taken by President Suzuki, everyone involved in the Rotary Club, Chancellor Oka, and international students receiving Rotary Yoneyama Scholarships at the university.
The Oyama cherry tree has been planted near the bus terminal of the university.
