UoA Student Won IEEE Section Award, etc.

Mr. Duc V. Nguyen (UoA 1st-year master student) won the following awards for his paper "Quality-Delay Tradeoff Optimization in Multi-Bitrate Adaptive Streaming".

• "ICCE Young Scientist Paper Award", IEEE Consumer Electronics Society East Joint Japan Chapter: The award is presented to young researchers in Japanese universities who delivered excellent research presentations at the ICCE.
• 3rd place of "Best Student Papers", IEEE Conference on Consumer Electronics, Las Vegas, 2015: The award honors excellent papers presented at the ICCE 2015.

Mr. Duc V. Nguyen commented on these awards; "I am very honored to receive thiese prizes. And I would like to say thank you to Prof. Cong-Thang Truong for his kind support. I will continue to work hard to improve my knowledge and skills."

His instructor, Senior Associate Professor Cong-Thang Truong, commented with congratulatory message; "This master student was an excellent student of HUST (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) who first came to UoA to study in 2+2 program of JICA. He started doing research from the 3rd year in undergraduate school. His research is practical and interesting to researchers from both Industry and Academia."
