A partnership for educational cooperation between HST921, Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) and the University of Aizu has been agreed upon. The project, HST921"Enabling the IT," is a part of the program organized by Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology（HST）, a joint educational and research organization between Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Steven Locke of HST, and Professor Shinya Oku of CAIST (ARC-Medical) initiated the agreement on partner ship. Following this agreement, Professor Oku joined a remote class session by HST921 remotely from the University of Aizu on April 1, 2009. Remote lectures by faculty at both universities, as well as opportunities for students to receive advice remotely from HST/UoA have been planned as future activities. Professor Oku has been appointed as a Core Faculty member of HST921.
