Ms. Yuki ITO (junior student) has been selected as a national team member for World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) 2015 Under-23 World Ultimate Championships Women's Division (*1), which will take place in London, U.K., from July 12 (Sun) to 18 (Sat) 2015.

Ms. ITO belongs to UoA Flying Disc Club, "DualBoot." Receiving the good news, Ms. ITO said, "I have so many people to thank for being able to play in the world championships including my club-mates and the members of Tohoku League. I will do my best and contribute to the team, while enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime chance."

Flying disc refers to sports played with Frisbees. It is easy to play and many people start it after they enter university, like Ms. ITO. "Ultimate" is a self-refereed team sport. There are no referees; the players are solely responsible for following and enforcing the rules. Ms. ITO says that this point has attracted her a lot because self-refereeing deepens the responsibility for fair play and social exchange with other team members.
