Signing of an Academic Exchange Agreement with Taylor University, USA

220310_taylor2The University of Aizu signed an academic exchange agreement with Taylor University, Indiana, USA on March 10, 2010. President Tsunoyama, who had been on the business travel to the U.S. since March 3, visited Taylor University on this day to sign an agreement on academic exchanges.
From our University, President Tsunoyama and Professor Orr, Director of the Center for Language Research, attended the ceremony which took place at Taylor University. President Tsunoyama and Taylor University President Eugene B. Habecker signed their names on the agreement and attested student exchanges and cooperation in education and research between both universities.
This agreement is a result of in-depth deliberations and consultations on possible exchange programs/activities between both universities, owing to Professor Orr's longstanding contact to Taylor University. The signing ceremony was followed by productive discussions with professors of the Computer Science and Engineering Department and the Center for Research and Innovation to seek possibilities for exchange and cooperation.
Taylor University has a high reputation for its undergraduate education, and we believe that mutual exchange of students under this program will contribute to fostering of excellent human resources. In fact, one of our undergraduate students has already been studying at Taylor University under the three-week study program.
