On June 20, 2014, eight members of "Music Above All," the musical band organized of students from Plano West High School located in Plano, Texas, USA visited the UoA and gave a joint concert with UoA Wind Ensemble.
Music Above All has an extensive repertoire of music, ranging from classical to pop music with the strings, woodwind, brass wind, percussion instruments and vocals. The eight members are on a playing tour of Japan this summer.
One of the major purposes of the tour is to visit and comfort people living in disaster areas in Japan with the music. They played pieces of music at UoA including "Hana wa Saku," the song for encouraging people standing up again after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Also they jointly played "Furusato" with UoA Wind Ensemble.
