On Thursday, November 27, 2014, a group of 30 university students from India and 29 from Malaysia respectively visited the University of Aizu on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' JENESYS 2.0 Program (*1) for the purpose of training and cultural exchange with UoA students.
Following their campus tour, they enjoyed talking about their countries' food cultures with UoA students over lunch. After an explanation on the UoA by Vice-president Shigaku Tei (*2), Professor William Rozycki (*3), Professor John Brine (*4) and Associate Professor Tatsuki Kawaguchi(*5) gave the students lessons on the roots of Japanese language and communication in English. They seemed to be deeply interested while listening to the lessons.
Having built quite a rapport with UoA students, they enjoyed this precious opportunity for international exchange in a lively atmosphere, having pleasant talks and taking photos with each other.
