Official Commemorative Flight Kit Panel donated by Former President Ikegami
On July 24, 2014, Tetsuhiko Ikegami, the third President of UoA, donated his JAXA Official Flight Kit panel commemorating astronaut Satoshi Furukawa's mission on ISS Expeditions 28 and 29 to the University of Aizu.
Furukawa stayed on the International Space Station for just under six months from June 2011. In commemoration of his mission, Furukawa presented the panel to former UoA President Ikegami, who was the chairperson of the MEXT Space Activities Commission at the time of the mission. The panel is decorated with the patches from Furukawa's space suit, etc.
