Two students from the University of Aizu won "2014 IEEE Sendai Section (*1) Student Award". The award ceremony was held at Tohoku University Sendai on Dec. 5, 2014.
Nine highly qualified student presentations at the 2014 Tohoku-Section Joint Convention of Institutes of Electrical and Information Engineers, Japan in Yamagata University in Aug (*2). 2014 are selected for the award, including four from Tohoku University, two from University of Aizu, two from Hirosaki University and one from Iwate University.
IEEE Sendai Section is one of the geographical units of the Institute of the Electrical and Electronics Engineers. (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional society. Globally, there are 324 local IEEE Sections and more than 1,700 technical Chapters. (*3)
The IEEE Sendai Section Student Award aims to encourage students to improve their writing and presentation skills in English and develop global minds, preparing young researchers to participate in international conferences.
