On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, the AY 2014 autumn admission ceremony for the University of Aizu Graduate School of Computer Science and Engineering was held. We welcomed fifteen entrants (twelve master's and 3 doctoral entrants) from China, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, U.K., Vietnam and Japan.

In his speech, President Ryuichi Oka said, "Our philosophy suggests that progress should be made in terms of 'quality' rather than 'quantity'. Through the wide-ranging and deep knowledge which you will study at our university starting today, each of you are expected to acquire cutting-edge knowledge with which you can achieve your own dreams and conduct your role as a member of global society," wishing for their growth at our university. In reply, Mr. Le Thai Huang from Vietnam, representing the entrants, expressed a strong determination to observe the university rules and fulfill their duties as graduate students.
