AY 2014 Degree Conferment Ceremony took place at the UoA on Thursday, September 19, 2014. A total of 16 students, nine students in the Master's Program and two students in the Doctoral Program from the Graduate School of Computer Science and Engineering, and five students from the Undergraduate School of Computer Science and Engineering received degrees.

Ryuichi Oka, the President of the UoA stated "The IT business is rapidly changing, and it is this speed of change that brings vitality to IT business. It is obvious that new innovative companies will appear. I hope you that you become founders of such new innovative companies." and encouraged the graduates leaving the university."

As a representative of the graduates, Arkady Zgonnikov from the Doctoral Program (right picture) gave his appreciation and spoke of his future visions. "I personally find my stay here in Aizu one of the most exciting periods of my life. Regardless of what our plans are after today, we will try hard to advance knowledge for humanity, as we were taught in this university."

The AY 2014 Fall Doctoral Dissertation Presentations were held before the ceremony on Thursday, September 18th, 2014. Graduates from the Doctoral Program, Arkady Zgonnikov and Yinghui Zhou gave presentations on their research achievements and shared their outlook in the future, and had question and answer sessions in the 40 minutes allotted.
