From July 3 to 5, 2026, the 43rd All Japan Wushu Taijiquan Championships, organized by the Japan Wushu Taijiquan Federation, were held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

At this official national competition, HOSHI Haruka, captain of the University of Aizu Kung Fu Club and a third-year student in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, won second place in the Women's Traditional Bare-Hand Routine B division, which had six registered competitors and three participants on the day of the event.

Having joined the club as a second-year student, HOSHI Haruka achieved this remarkable result after only about one year of training, becoming the first member of the University of Aizu Kung Fu Club to earn a prize at the championships. HOSHI Haruka is determined to further refine her techniques and aims to win the championship next year.
