A researcher from the University of Aizu Receives IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence (Early Career Researcher)

　On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (TCSC) (※1) awarded the 2024 Award for Excellence (Early Career Researcher) (※2) to Associate Professor SAXENA Deepika(※3) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering / Division of Information Systems at University of Aizu.

　This award recognizes up to five individuals who have made outstanding, influential, and sustainable contributions to the field of Scalable Computing. Typically, nominees must be researchers who are within five years of obtaining their Ph.D. as of January 1 of the award year.

<What is Scalable Computing?>
Scalable Computing refers to a computing paradigm that allows a computer system's performance and processing capacity to be efficiently expanded or reduced according to demand. It is particularly important in areas such as large-scale data processing, high-performance computing (HPC), cloud computing, and distributed systems.
