University of Aizu Researcher Wins Excellence Award at the 2024 Golden Thread Award

　Senior Associate Professor OGAWA Olivia Chisato(Center for Cultural Research and Studies) (*1) has received the Excellence Award in the Planning Category at the "Golden Thread Award 2024" for her project on career consulting for young people in the Aizu region using the self-exploration tool "Jinsei Sugoroku 'Golden Thread'." This marks her second consecutive year of receiving an award, following last year's Special Jury Prize. (*2)

<About the Golden Thread Award 2024>
This award is presented by the Japan Career Development Association (JCDA) (*3) to promote the self-exploration tool "Sugoroku(the game of life) golden thread", a career counseling tool.

<Project Overview>
In the Aizu region, which faces challenges due to population decline, a comprehensive career consulting project was implemented, including the use of the "Golden Thread" program.
Evaluation
The project was highly praised for addressing regional challenges and its proactive approach to engaging the community. The initiative was also recognized for its strong feasibility, leveraging the professor's university affiliation and connections with related organizations to drive meaningful impact.
