the University of Aizu has confirmed that one faculty member and two students have been newly infected with a new type of coronavirus.

1 Subjects and course of events, persons in close contact, etc.

(1) Faculty member, 50s, female
・Received antigen test on Monday, August 8, and found positive.
・There are no confirmed cases of persons with intense contact related to the University.

(2) Student, 20s, male
・Received PCR test on Monday, August 8, and tested positive the next day.
・There are no confirmed cases of persons with intense contact related to the University.

(3) Student, 20s, female
・Received antigen test on Tuesday, August 9, and found positive.
・There are no confirmed cases of persons with intense contact related to the University.

※There is no relationship between (1) through (3) above.

The university facilities used by the above faculty member and students have been disinfected, and there is no impact on classes and other educational and research activities.
