This is to notify that a university staff member and one student have been newly confirmed to have been infected with a new type of coronavirus.

- May 8: The PCR test returned a positive result.
2 Current Status
No one from the University of Aizu was in close contact with the virus.

The university facilities used by the above student have been disinfected, and there is no impact on classes and other educational and research activities.
