Since 2023, the University of Aizu Data Science/Engineering Cluster (ARC-DSE: Cluster Leader, Senior Associate Professor Yasuhiro Hashimoto) has co-hosted a summer workshop related to data utilization in media with Hakuhodo Technologies Inc. In 2025, university students took on the challenge of creating videos using generative AI.

On August 19th and 26th, engineers from Hakuhodo Technologies provided lectures on the overview and practical know-how of video generation AI, as well as specific instructions on software usage. Following this, eight students worked on their projects and presented their outcomes at a reporting session on September 25th. Staff from Fukushima Television, who provided the themes for the videos, also participated and offered feedback on the works.

The students created unique and inventive videos based on the following two themes:
(Theme 1) "Akabeko Donburi": A new menu item developed by an international owner running a popular Sauce Katsudon (sauce-dipped pork cutlet bowl) restaurant.
(Theme 2) A popular "Okami" (proprietress) robot greets robot guests at a ryokan inn in Higashiyama Onsen.
