What is the "Software Studio"

  • A class where students practice software development
    • Developing software for customers
  • Field (Specialization) of Software Engineering (SE-DE)
    • Taken by fourth-year students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
    • 2 sessions per week, 3 credits
    • Students' areas of expertise, experience, and skills are varied
  • Teams of 5 to 10 students develop a same software
    • Corporate instructors provide coaching and review of the software
    • Faculty members provide guidance and assistance, mainly in project management.

Activities

  • Students will develop software for real-world customers in teams from April to July.
  • Propose software to solve problems and develop them while receiving user feedback.
  • Two periods of classes each week to hold meetings with customers, and proceed with advice from company instructors
